Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

📍 Location: Canada (various locations depending on project needs)
💼 Job Type: Full-time
💰 Salary: CAD $65,000 – $100,000 per year (based on experience and location)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing construction and project management team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects to ensure value for money and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents

  • Monitor and control project expenditures

  • Conduct risk and value management assessments

  • Prepare progress claims and final accounts

  • Advise on procurement strategies and contract management

  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, legal standards, and company policies

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and regulations in Canada

  • Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Project)

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Certification or membership with CIQS, RICS, or similar professional bodies (preferred)
