Job Title: Hotel Manager

About Us:

The Jonas Hotels is a leading hospitality destination in Nova Scotia, known for its refined service, elegant accommodations, and welcoming atmosphere. We are currently expanding our management team and seeking a dedicated Hotel Manager or Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations and uphold our commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and F&B departments

  • Manage and train staff, ensuring consistent service standards across all areas

  • Handle guest relations, resolve complaints, and ensure satisfaction

  • Monitor budgets, control operational costs, and maximize revenue

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote hotel services and packages

  • Prepare reports and provide insights to ownership for continuous improvement

  • Support recruitment, scheduling, and performance reviews of team members

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in hotel operations or supervisory roles

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication in English (French is a plus)

  • Familiarity with hotel software (e.g., Opera, PMS, POS systems)

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
